Why it's important to start the organization now

Recent statistics indicate that injuries and accidents are among the leading causes of death in the Kingdom;they are the second leading cause of death after chronic diseases in some categories. For example, road accidents have been responsible for significantly reducing life expectancy and injuries. In 2016, the Kingdom recorded a high mortality rate of 9,311 deaths (28.8 per 100,000 population), but it decreased to 6,651 deaths (18.5 per 100,000) by 2021, which shows a positive improvement but confirms the continued seriousness of the issue. Road injuries annually are estimated in the tens of thousands; the Ministry of Health documented more than 25,000 traffic injuries in 2020 despite the decrease in movement during the pandemic.
Domestic accidents are also a growing concern; local studies indicate that the home is the most common place for child injuries. In one field study in one region of the Kingdom, 58.2% of domestic accidents for children were due to falls and collisions with solid objects, followed by burns (30.7%), suffocation, and others. These figures highlight the seriousness of the lack of safety measures in homes. As for the elderly, they are often vulnerable to falls at home; it is estimated that up to half of the elderly (about 49.9%) may experience a fall annually in Saudi Arabia, causing serious injuries such as bone fractures and head injuries.
In the work environment, despite notable progress, accidents and injuries still occur. According to the Ministry of Human Resources, work injuries have decreased by 30 percent in recent years – from a rate of 416 injuries per 100,000 workers to 288 currently as a result of strengthened safety regulations. However, thousands of occupational injuries are still recorded every year, especially in the industrial and construction sectors. Globally, more than 2.3 million people lose their lives annually due to work-related accidents, injuries, and occupational diseases, highlighting the importance of prevention in our work environment as well.
In addition, the Kingdom is currently witnessing a major urban and industrial expansion as part of Vision 2030, accompanied by an increase in projects, public activities, and events. This expansion increases the need to educate the community about safety to ensure that the developmental renaissance is accompanied by a preventive awareness that protects lives and safeguards gains.

The establishment of the association comes in response to this urgent need to transform safety culture from a theoretical concept to a daily behavior, and to ensure the sustainability of government efforts through complementary efforts with the real participation of the community.

Who do we present our initiatives and programs to?

"Safety Everywhere" organization Targets all segments of society through a holistic approach:

Individuals and families

Sensitize them to the basics of safety in their daily lives at home, on the road, in parks and public places for themselves and for those who live with them from vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children and people with special needs.

Students and youth

Instilling a culture of safety in the next generation through interactive programs and enrichment curricula with the best methods suitable for their age groups.

Organizations and companies

We seek a true partnership to adopt occupational safety standards and qualify safe working environments for its employees and visitors.

Governmental and semi-governmental entities

We integrate with them as a partner in public safety campaigns to enable the organization's goals and also to promote occupational safety in their work environment.

Schools and universities

An enriching partnership to ensure a safe learning environment, develop evacuation plans, train educational staff to deal with crises and emergencies, as well as achieve preventive safety and spread its culture.

Society in general

Raising awareness for all is our first goal through media campaigns and social media to spread safety messages to all segments of society.

How do we work to achieve our goals?

The organization uses a combination of outreach, training, campaigns, and partnerships to achieve its goals:

Community outreach

Launch periodic media campaigns to raise awareness and organize safety forums and exhibitions targeting families and children in an interactive manner.

Training and Capacity Building

Providing various courses and workshops in preventive safety and dealing with emergencies. As well as specialized vocational training programs to enhance occupational safety practices.

Field campaigns

Awareness campaigns directed at schools, universities, neighborhood mosques and workplaces to spread the culture of safety and hold awareness days in commercial centers and public parks.

Strategic partnerships

Build partnerships with government entities specialized in safety legislation or work, as well as private sector companies to sponsor safety campaigns and adopt social responsibility policies in this field.

Research and data analysis

We aim to establish a research unit to monitor and analyze data and deal with statistics and figures in order to measure the impact of awareness and awareness campaigns in improving safety and reducing accidents or their consequences, and to prioritize initiatives and programs.

Counseling and Support Center

We will be launching a call center and a platform that offers quick safety advice for individuals and businesses and best practices in safety.

Through these integrated mechanisms, the association acts as a link between the community and the official authorities, and as a platform to mobilize individual and institutional initiatives for a safer society for all.
